There has been a recent guest to the office in Denver, Oliver. I think he is warming up to me.

Last weekend I escaped the cold and snow on the beaches of San Diego with Denver Turner girl Mari Katherine Raftopoulos, but of course we all call her ‘MK’ because even for a smart chicken like me, that name is way too long. Can you say 75 degrees and sunny? Too bad, I forgot my sunscreen for our stroll along the Mission Beach boardwalk on our beach cruisers, because for my next adventure I’ll be loading up on that Aloe Vera. No pun intended but those record breaking waves, made me a little chicken to rough the waters, but as for my traveling partner, she didn’t hesitate to get her hair wet. We ventured down to the historic Gaslamp district come nighttime and had brunch the following morning on the sun kissed deck of the Hotel del Coronado (hints the bloody Mary’s). Not gonna lie I could get used to this jet-setting lifestyle.

This last weekend I accompanied Denver Turnette Megan in Estes Park for their yearly Winter Festival. We played king and queen of the kiddies’ ice castle, drank too much wine and sampled loads of chili at their Chili Cook-off in Bond Park. To cap off our trip we hunted for ghosts at the famous hotel The Stanley. You know the one from The Shinning? I am pretty sure I saw a ghost on the balcony but Megan says otherwise.

The lovely ladies Sarah, Kelsey, Mariana, and Jill, of the New York office, brought me along on their fantastic trip down to Chantilly, VA last week to visit the Alpha Industries team. We went through  D.C. to visit Union Station, as well as with our favorite Washingtonians – Mister President & the charming First Lady.

Vail was by far the place to be to bring in the New Year. Michelle from the Denver office brought me along, while I showed off my excellent skiing abilities . We ended the night with some Après (or 2…) and a couple of snow angels.

In preparation for the holidays, Jillian of the Denver office needed some assistance with her holiday planning  and other insane activities. We shopped for a new car, I am totally digging the red Ford Mustang. Wrangled with a bear at her parent’s house and Jillian’s friend at Illegal Pete’s. Also helped her make some serious dinner choices, chicken or tofu. She sided with tofu, thank goodness.
